Puntland’s Vice President Abdihakim Omar Amay has vowed battle and liberate the coastal town of Qandala from ISIS militants.
Speaking to media outlets, Mr. Amay praised Puntland forces saying they will intensify offensive against the small faction of ISIS militants and retake Qandala town,
“God willing, we will recapture it from their hands as soon.” He added.
Last month, more than 50 pro-ISIS militants led by ex-Al-Shabab leader Abdikadir Mumin raided Qandala coastal town of Bari region.
Puntland forces continue to battle the Islamist militants in an effort to clear the town off the terrorists.
