At least 41 Al-Qaeda (AQ) linked Al-Shabaab militants were killed in the latest operation in Al-Madow Mountains on Saturday.
According to a statement by the Puntland Security Forces (PSF), their forces carried out anti-Al-Shabaab operation in Maraje area in Al-Madow Mountains.
The raid was in response to overnight attack against Puntland’s PMPF army base earlier on Saturday.
“41 Al-Shabab terrorists were killed during the Saturday’s operation in the Maraje area,” the statement added.
On Saturday, at least five Puntland soldiers died after Al-Shabab militants attacked their army operating base in Bali-Khadar area in Galgala Mountains, military sources also confirmed.
