Pakistani army has launched an offensive against militants near the Afghanistan border, intelligence sources confirm.
23 militants were killed when Pakistani army launched an offensive against militants allied to the Al-Qaeda-Taliban after a suicide bomber killed people inside Pakistani.
Strikes were conducted on the Taliban controlled Mir Ali, area in North Waziristan when Ansar al Aseer Khorasan terrorist group allied to Al-Qaeda conducted a suicide bombing.
A suicide bomber blew a military checkpoint killing five soldiers and wounding 34 others using an explosives packed truck which he rammed on the check point during prayers.
Pakistani army has so far destroyed an improvised explosives devices factory in the area and killed 10 more militants in follow up raids to clean up the mainly Uzbek terrorists from the Ansar al Aseer Khorasan group.
