Hundreds of terrorist combatants have been killed and thousands wounded in infighting in the Northern provinces of Syria in the past two months.
Tahrir al-Sham formerly known as Al-Nusra Front and Syria’s Tahrir Front engaged in clashes in the villages of Ahsam, Mar’ayan, Tarmala, al-Faqi’e and Karsa’ah and the town of Ahsam in Southern Idlib on Thursday.
Syria’s Tahrir Front gained control of the villages forcing Al-Nusra to withdraw from several regions by its rival.
According to the Arabic-language Enab al-Baladi news website affiliated to dissidents the infighting among militants in Idlib and Aleppo provinces since February 20, has left over 700 militants of the two groups killed and 500 others wounded.
Also, 300 Tahrir al-Sham combatants and 200 gunmen of Syria’s Tahrir Front have been held captive by the other rival side.
On Wednesday more than 100 terror combatants were killed in clashes between Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at and Syria’s Tahrir Front in Aleppo and Idlib provinces in recent days according to field sources.
Heavy infighting among terrorists in Southern Idlib has cut off a road connecting Khan Sheikhoun and al-Habit regions corresponding open sources reports.
Both terror groups are linked to the Al-Qaeda.
