Kenya Police Special Crime Prevention Units gun down a Senior Al Shabaab Operative in Nairobi’s Majengo
Kenya Police Special Crime Prevention Units gunned down a senior Al Shabaab operative Monday 22nd June 2015 as he lead a terror group in a violent robbery in Nairobi’s Majengo estate.
The operative known as Osao aka Osama was close to Al Shabaab top leaders.
Osao was under instructions to conduct violent robberies to raise funds for the terror cells in Nairobi and Mombasa.
Intelligence reports show that Osao was trained in Somalia where Al Shabaab is based.
Osama and a group of other Kenyans sneaked back to conduct robberies targeting businesses such as Mpesa shops and wholesales shops with high daily turnovers.
These robberies focused on raising funds for the terror group’s operations in Kenya. Osao was gunned down as he led a terror group cell in a robbery in Majengo, an Islamists hotspot in the capital.
The group has openly mourned the death of the terrorist Osao.
Al Shabaab has suffered setback after Osao’s death. Its economic activities and other sources of income are on a steady decline.
Recently Al Shabaab terrorist group has suffered a series of defeats.
The group’s senior commanders have been killed, operations camps have been destroyed and most of their strongholds in Somalia have been captured.
The Somali based jihadists’ outfit is on a steady decline and starved of finances to sustain the group economic lifeline to remain a relevant terror front.
Me thinks this alshabaab is completely finished
No surrender
