Latest military news from Somalia indicates that NISA and government forces raided Al-Shabaab positions in a neighborhood in Mogadishu where they killed over 100 militants on Sunday night.
Reports gathered from open sources indicate that the forces following on intelligence tip-off raided a training base outside the capital Mogadishu with newly recruited trainees. Firefight broke between government troops and Al-Shabaab fighters.
Al-Shabaab has been battling to topple the Somalia’s Western-backed government for over two decades in an effort to install strict Sheria rule in Somalia.
