Nigeria’s State Security Service on Tuesday February 8th announced the arrest of a major ISIS recruiter in Kano State.
He was arrested alongside a number of recruits he was preparing to cross them over to Libya for ISIS terrorist military training.
Summary:
Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) announced the arrest of Abdussalam Enesi Yunusa who according to intelligence is a top recruiter for the Middle East based ISIS.
Yunusa was arrested in late January with several of his recruits in Kano. He had made complete arrangement for the transport to Libya where his recruits would receive the military training given to the recruits before they are sent on ‘missions’.
Yunusa is a level 400 undergraduate of Federal University of Technology, Minna- Niger State where he was undertaking a degree in Information and Media Technology.
The SSS acted upon credible intelligence from that highlighted his movements and his activities of recruiting and brainwashing the susceptible youths into an atrocious cause.
The SSS has over the past few months used intelligence to arrest kingpins in the Boko Haram terror network in a bid to inflict major setbacks for the terrorists that will lead to their eventual downfall. The service has initiated series of tactical operations, involving raids and enforcement actions against identified criminal and extremist kingpins and syndicates across the country.
