On Monday 31st August 2015, a senior Nigerian army Colonel argued that Boko Haram armed group is up to tarnish the good image of Islam with their terror activities and actions.
Blasting Boko Haram militants, a Nigerian senior military official claimed that it is a shame Boko Haram insurgents don’t know how to read the holy Quran and don’t practice the religion that they claim committing atrocities in its name.
According to Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman who shared a post on social media, most of Boko Haram militants cannot read the Holy Quran, some of them cannot even recite the first chapter — Suratuh Al-Fathiha and yet they claim they want to establish an ‘Islamic State’.
Going by the acts of the extremists groups across board, Boko Haram, IS, Al Qaeda and its affiliates; it is ironically shameful their practice is totally against the ideologies one can learn from a Quran.
When the Nigerian Military captured most of their bases and training camps, they never found any Quran, Hadith or other Islamic literature, instead what they found were ammunitions, charms, condoms and all sort of drugs including sex enhancing drugs in their enclaves at Sambisa Forest, Borno, North Eastern Nigeria,” officer Usman revealed.
Usman post on social media was shared hundreds of times but at least it brought to light and know that these people are terrorists committing atrocities but the worst part is using the image of Islam in justifying their cause.
