The new terror outfit identified as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham is consolidating power in northwestern Syria.
Since surfacing Hayat Tahrir al-Sham has been battling other rivalry militant groups as its seeks to extend its control across Idlib province, enforcing its version of Shariah and raising funds by taxing flows of people and goods.
