Sunday 29th November 2015, Reports coming indicate that military jets have conduted surgical aerial campaigns against Al Shabaab bases in Somali’s Hiiraan region.
The warplanes campaigns is the latest in a series of aerial bombardments against the Al Qaeda branch in Somalia.
Col Mohamed Omar Aden, a senior Somali army commander in the region confirmed the incident and said more such operations will continue to hit areas such as Yasooman, Ceeldheer and Ceel lahelay villages, which still harbours Al Shabaab elements.
Several militants are believed to have been killed in the Sunday aerial raids.
The bombardment of Al Shabaab bases is also another big blow to the already dented militant group as these bases are prime for their military training, planning attacks among other logistics.
Kenya Air Force fighter jets have severally bombarded Al Shabaab camps as well as U.S. drones which have in the past carried out several airstrikes targeting senior Al Shabaab leaders, including Sheikh Mukhtar Abu Zubeyr who was killed in drone attack near Barawe town in 2014.

Hit bases or Al Shabaab???? The only way to finish Al Shabaab COMPLETELY is to kill every one inside Somalia territory. A conventional army can’t fight a gorilla outfit and win!!
Its called exhaust and then attack strategy, you cant finish the elements without destroying their resources first
