US ambassador to Kenya, Michael Ranneberger came under a fierce attack from the Kenyan President today.
President Kibaki criticized the US envoy for his meddling in the Kenyan politics and leadership.
The president also confirmed earlier reports that USAID funds for youth were aimed at destabilizing the country politically.
The president spoke during the Jamhuri day celebrations to mark Kenya’s 47th year of independence.
According to CIA and State Department, the infamous Democrat envoy might be recalled any time.
However, this would only explain the length to which Mr. Ranneberger might have spied Kenya for US.
The envoy through USAID has been funding Kenyan youths in an attempt to influence a regime change.
The American has also come under sharp criticism from Members of Parliament for crisscrossing the country talking politics.
Ranneberger shares close ties with Prime Minister Odinga and in the Wikileaks Kenya Cables; he admits he would like to see Mr Odinga take power.
However, Mr Odinga came short of slurring Ranneberger comparing him with a governor, saying the last governor left in 1964.
The president also hinted that there are more than three or four foreigners funding the youth but are hell bent.
This could point out European envoys notably Germany, Swedish, British, and the US, all who are very vocal.
Currently Kenya’s NSIS works closely with the Chinese Intelligence Services to gather, share, and execute intelligence.
