Somali terrorist group Al-Shabaab has claimed a twin bombing in Central Somalia. The group through its media outlets has claimed the double attack in Dhusamareb, Mudug region capital. The attack according to the terror group happened in the presence of Somali Prime Minster Hassan Khaire and the Qatari security delegation in the city. Several casualties have been reported
A Suicide bomber detonated an explosive belt outside an eatery and while an explosive device detonated outside a security outpost in Dhusamareb town, the headquarters of Gal-Mudug regiona state in Central Somalia. Two persons suffered severe injuries while dozens others were slightly injured. The suicide bomber died while 5 Regional Members of Parliament were injured.
The controversial Somali Prime Minister Hassan Khaire and Qatari security ministry officials are in the town to hold talks with the leadership of Ahlu-Sunaa Wa Jamaa militia group (ASWJ) which is being integrated into the regular army. The talks will involve arming and financing the group.
