A man who stabbed two women to death has been arrested. Lonnie Mitchell was arrested today, Thursday after police got leads about his whereabouts in a sting operation.
Mitchell, authorities say, is a suspect in a shootout at a California strip mall that left two people dead.
The dead included a mother who was shot as she protected her toddler.
Five other people were seriously injured in the shootout.
24 year old Lonnie Mitchell was arrested in Southern California by the Calif Highway patrol and the deputies who were investigating the shootout.
The killer was found near the Grapevine section of Interstate 5
Investigators suspect Lonnie was among the four people who exchanged gunfire inside a barber shop on Tuesday causing the death of two people.
