A mentally ill California woman named Laura Cox has been charged with driving under the influence DUI.
Laura Cox after was caught on camera by neighbor Sarah Oliver running over her husband’s electric mobility scooter.
Laura Cox, 47, of Huntington Beach, is seen on a 65-second YouTube clip pushing her husband off the vehicle then taking control of the SUV and backing over it twice.
The neighbor Sarah Oliver called the police after she felt appalled by Oliver Cox behavior which she termed as very disturbing.
Cox suffers from mental illness. Police report that she stopped taking her medication and took up drinking alcohol.
The husband has played down his wife’s Laura Cox DUI Video, saying that it was a case of someone trying to take control of a vehicle and him reacting to the same.
