Marine Carlos Orozco III is not guilty of hazing a fellow soldier who committed suicide, a court-martial at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay.
Lance Cpl. Carlos Orozco III was charged by the military of hazing a fellow lance corporal in Afghanistan but was acquitted on Friday.
Orozco II is not guilty after he was accused of humiliating and demeaning Lance Cpl. Harry Lew.
He was accussed of pouring sand on Harry Lew face and forcing Lew to do push-ups and leg lifts.
The court martial acquitted Orozco of charges involving the assault, cruel treatment and humiliation of Lew.
Harry Lew of California fatally shot himself at a remote Afghanistan patrol base April 2011. He was a nephew of Democratic Rep. Judy Chu.
