The newly appointed Kenya Army Commander Lieutenant General Robert Kibochi in the month of August 2016 has taken his time in visiting army Operational Bases.
Lieutenant General Kibochi replaced Lieutenant General Leonard Ngondi was appointed the new National Defense College (NDC) Commander in the recent past mini-reshuffle by the Commander in Chief.
Lieutenant General Kibochi has visited several army units including the long range surveillance unit. Locations and army forward operational bases visited by the army commander include Garissa Camp, Gerille Camp, Dill Camp, Libodi Camp, Dobley and the Manda Base.
Such visits by military commanders are aimed at taking stock of what is happening in the military units/bases including successes and challenges. The visits are also a morale booster to the military men and women serving gallantly defending the sovereignty of their nation, Kenya.
