Oil Explorer, Tullow Oil Plc confirms that Kenya and Uganda have agreed to start the construction of a heated oil pipeline to connect Uganda’s Lake Albert rift basin with the Kenyan pipeline.
This will be the longest heated pipeline in the world running up to 1,380-kilometre long ranking it as an incredibly ambitious project.
The construction development studies are ongoing making this infrastructure a reality in a couple of years.
Tullow Oil and Africa Oil confirmed that they have agreed with the government of the Republic of Kenya to start the pipeline development study.
The pipeline will have a special heating system running in it to keep the waxy oil flowing to the refineries.
Kenya will construct a 850 kilometer heated pipeline from Lokichar basin to the coast of Kenya.
Uganda will construct it’s pipeline from the lake Albert to link up with Kenya and the South Sudan pipeline.

Jag har besökt Kenya och tror helt säkert att projektet genomförs med stor framgång.
Kenya är stabilt idag med en bra ledning (Kenyatta)
