The Nigerian navy might acquire and upgrade a Kenyan Navy Oceanographic Survey Vessel which Kenya defense forces may have declined to accept.
The highly hyped KNS Jasiri Mombasa, a KDF flagship armed naval vessel lacked what naval officials described as modern naval warfare facilities underscoring the need to reject the vessel.
According to defense sources Kenya has rejected the KNS Jasiri which recently was supposed to sail home.
SIN Posted a story providing detail about the structure and arms the KDF has advised about and be installed on the ship.
Kenya defense officials rejected the vessel citing lack of any defense capacity and outdated gadgets on the highly priced ship further complicating the AngloLeasing complex and the corruption associated with it.
The ship was built by Euromarine a Spain based ship builder company unfortunately has failed to meet the desired and specified naval levels recommended by the Kenyan defense officials.
Kenya navy has refused to take the ship and asked for a full refund for the Navy Oceanographic Survey Vessel valued at about $30 Million from Euromarine.
The company is associated with Anglo-Leasing, a company that nearly fleeced Kenya billions of shillings in shadowy security tenders and dealings.
