
Intelligence sources have foreseen the results of the first ever international conference in Kenya on countering terrorism to help Kenya manage local security as well as help stabilize war torn Somalia.
Kenya is expected to benefit massively from the massive intelligence that will converge for three days on Kenyan soil from different parts of the world. At least 20 delegates will be represented from African countries as well as dozens others from the rest past of the world.
OSINT sources all over have clarified that starting 25th June, 2015, Kenya will for three days hold the first ever international conference on countering violent extremism starting Thursday in KICC Nairobi.
Kenya in cooperation with European Union (EU) will launch counter-terrorism training program across east Africa countries; Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, South Sudan, Sudan and Uganda
The program is will be funded by EU at a cost of 11 million euros (Sh1.2 billion) for a period of about five years
Intelligent sources indicate that a workable plan will be laid down to forge efficiency in wiping elements of terrorism from the face of Africa, more so Kenya which has been worst hit by acts of terrorism. Among the agenda to be discussed will be
- De-radicalization strategy
- The question of refugees and refugee camps
- Local resources in ending terrorism, among others.
