
After the foiled attack on Baure army camp in Lamu, the Kenya Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) has launched a hunt for Andreas Martin Muller alias Ahmed Khalid and Abu Nusaibah, a terrorist who fled from the attack.
OSINT sources have reports increasing number of foreign fighters within the Somali based terrorist group Harakat Al Shabaab Al Mujahideen.
A number of them were involved in Al Shabaab attacks that have taken place on Kenyan soil including the recent aborted attack in Lamu.
Some of these terrorists are still at large, with Kenya’s military forces narrowing on them. Others are in custody on terror charges while the rest have been killed by Kenya’s security forces.

- Emrah Erdogan alias Imraan AL-Kurdy alias Salahaddin AL-Kurdy, a German who is a suspect in attack on Assanands House along Moi Avenue, Nairobi in 2012.
- British terrorist Jermaine Grant is in custody at Shimo La Tewa prison facing trial on terror charges.
- Sascha Alessandro Boettcher arrested and deported to Germany.
