Somalia government has been making allegations claiming Kenya has encroached on their territory by erecting the security wall on their soil.
17th November 2015, The Federal government of Somalia sent a delegation comprising of Ministers and Members of Parliament to visit the Kenyan security border wall construction site and access on the border marks and ascertain if the border is being constructed on the right track.
Report from VOA Somalia indicate that the fact finding team led by Somalia’s defense minister Abdulkadir Sheikh Ali Dini comprising committees, parliament’s defense, interior and the Independent official and Federal officials, experts and representatives from the region concluded the border inspection.
The inspection team found no evidence that Kenya had removed the boundary markers or building the security wall on their territory as alleged.
The team however, recommended independent UNICEF body to monitor current situation affecting the two countries and address the complaints submitted by residents of the Belet-Hawa and Dolo Gedo region on the border with Somalia and Kenya.

Assymetrical warfare requires proper counter insurgency not building walls when we dont have money for teachers…are you going to build a wall through boni?? beef up intelligence jamaneni!…hapo kuna mtu anakulia tender
Robert Carlitri this matter was made in rush by few pple somalis on otherside are complaining their land is being taken even elected leaders from north eastern are not aware i dont think building a wall will protect kenya as long corrupt custom officials are there may GOD protect kenya

The problem of radicalisation is an economic one…and treating some Kenyans as if theyre not…It doesnt make sense for a refugee, escaping war in a neighbouring country to bring the same thing in their place of refuge…
