Police in Mombasa County, Kenya said that they are holding and interrogating three al Shabaab suspects on attacks on the coastal town of Lamu where to people were killed and houses torched to the ground.
The three were arrested in Mpeketoni area and transferred to Mombasa where they were arraigned in court for murder.

The 3 are responsible for attacks in Lamu County; they attacked Kaisari village, Pandanguo in January 2016 where they killed two locals, injured several others and torched houses.
Police have said they are interrogating the trio to establish links to cells said to be operating in Lamu and Mombasa Counties.
Police have been conducting investigation on the string of attacks in Lamu country and are closely following a link of a rumored al Shabaab cell operating in the country and they are confident the three will help unearth the same.
