Kenya security and intelligence officers today busted a secret storage for pernicious explosives belonging to a suspected terrorists and arms smuggling cell and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Nanyuki town, the headquarters of Laikipia County, and one of the largest tourist destination in the East African powerhouse.
Police recovered grenades, rocket propelled grenades, and detonators. Security agents recently discovered and busted a large cache of weapons in Kwale County, further south, in Kenya’s coastal tourist hub. The weapons and explosives busted in Kwale belonged to the Somali terrorist group Harakat Al-Shabaab Mujahideen.
