US Department of Defense in September 2014 contracted a firm to produce and modify intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities onto Cessna 208B aircraft, spares and training to be sold to Kenya among other nations.
The contract was awarded to L-3 Communications Corporation DBA Communication Systems West, Salt Lake City, Utah.
The $31,159,640 firm-fixed-price undefinitized contract requires the production, modification and integration of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities onto Cessna 208B aircraft, spares and training.
L-3 Communications Corporation DBA Communication Systems West will perform the works at Salt Lake City, Utah, and Titusville, Florida, with an expected completion date of Sept. 30, 2015.
This award includes L-3 Communications Corporation DBA Communication Systems West foreign military sales for the countries of Kenya and two other African countries namely Mauritania and Niger.
