The Kenya army (KDF) carried out successful counter terrorism operations in the last week of August 2017 targeting weapons, logistics, and forward bases of the Al-Qaeda affiliate in East Africa, Harakat Al-Shabaab Mujahideen (HSM).
In the CT-Ops, the Kenya Army on Wednesday 25th of August 2015 conducted a multi-pronged operations targeting a forward base and a tactical units training base killing 35 members of the terror group Al-Shabaab.
Another 15 terrorists were killed in separate operations including a counter-Ambush.
The army continues to destroy terrorists positions inside Somalia and cell-bases near the Kenya Somali border.
Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) bolstered defenses around recently captured town of Bardheere to stymie possible probing and subsequent terror attacks by the terror group.
