The Wildcat Armored Wheeled Vehicle is a mine resistant ambush protected armored troop vehicle.
The vehicle is ideal for urban warfare particularly in towns and cities where special forces or commandos may target.
Kenya defense forces can use the Wildcat in towns and cities in Somalia where they are currently engaged in a fierce fight with outlawed Somali militant group Al-Shabaab.
The Wildcat has protection against 7.62-mm armor-piercing bullets besides a passive lightweight armor panel.
Ideal Solution to IED’s
The vehicle protects troops against 14.5-mm armor-piercing projectiles and improvised explosive devices helping limit troop loss to IED.
The vehicle also provides protection using explosive reactive armor panels and can withstand RPG hits and 14.5-mm projectiles.
The Wildcat has a V-shaped hull and raised crew compartments that protects troops against landmines besides NBC protection and automatic fire extinguishing systems.
The Wildcat comes with remotely controlled weapon station and eight firing ports for the troops managed by a 3-man crew. The Wildcat Armored Wheeled Vehicle accomondates 8-troops and has ramps for climbing in and exiting.
