As the Kenyan Special Forces and Elite Rapid Response Teams ended terrorists’ siege at the DusitD2 complex on 14 Riverside Drive, Nairobi, Kenya anti-terror detectives arrested two prime suspects in connection with the attack.
Following on leads, the detectives swung into action and arrested the two during separate operations conducted in Eastleigh and Mucatha-Ruaka estates.
Police reports indicate that, the suspects who were arrested were in contact with the slain terrorists at the DusitD2 complex and will aid in providing detectives with information in relation to the terror attack.
At one premise in Ruaka-Mucatha, the detectives stormed the house where one of the slain attackers lived and recovered bomb-making material.
The reports further indicates that one bomb that had been assembled half way was successfully disabled and carried away.
One of the suspects only identified as Kemunto was been arrested in Mucatha, Ruaka, Kiambu County. Kemunto was apprehended at a house where one of the attackers is said to have been living for a couple of months planning the attack.
