Latest military reports from Somalia indicate that KDF air force jets on morning of Thursday 11th February 2016 raided several Al-Shabaab targets in Gedo region.
Corresponding reports from residents confirmed the air raids by KDF planes saying they were spotted flying in low level before striking areas between Elwaq and Bulahawo.
The military source did not confirm the actual BDA but hinted that the air raid inflicted heavy losses to the Somali based Islamist group, Al-Shabaab.
The raid struck Al-Shabaab targets with precision destroying one militant’s logistical camp in the locality between Elwaq and Bulahawo.
Since the El-Adde attack on an AMISOM base manned by Kenyan troops, KDF has intensified their air and ground campaigns in which dozens of Al-Shabaab militants have been killed.
KDF is battling Al-Shabaab terrorists under African Union Mission in Somalia alongside troops from, Uganda, Burundi, Djibouti, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia.
