The Kenya Defense Forces KDF, will be the primary players in the taking of the beleaguered port city of Kismayo and the last stronghold of the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab militants active in Somalia.
Strategic Intelligence gathered intelligence that confirms KDF/Kenya army will be the primary AMISOM player to engage in both covert and military operations aimed at dislodging the Islamist militants from the port city.
KDF will support the TFG forces and the local Ras Kamboni militia that fights alongside TFG against the 1500-2000 well trained Al-Shabaab militants holding positions at Kismayo.
