Monday 7th December 2015, Israel PM named his security aide Yossi Cohen as the next Mossad spy chief.
Netanyahu named Cohen saying that the new spy chief has wealth of experience and achievements.
Cohen is a former Mossad operative and has been at the helm of Netanyahu’s security for the past two years.
Cohen, a former Mossad operative, has been Netanyahu’s top security adviser for the past two years. He will replace Tamir Pardo, a Mossad veteran whose five-year term expires soon.
Yossi who has headed the National Security Council in the past years thus has great experience, achievements and has proven abilities in various modus operandi o the spy agency.
Cohen, 54, joined Mossad in 1983 and held several operational positions, rising to deputy director
He retained the position between 2011-2013, before moving to the National Security Council, Netanyahu’s office.
