OSINT reports indicate that Iraqi jets on Friday destroyed Daesh oil convoy in the province of Nineveh.
The bombardments on Daesh oil convoy is a huge blow strategically aimed at killing the Takfiris terrorist oil sales and economic lifeline.
Iraqi warplanes targeted 20 tanker trucks loaded with crude oil in the Qayyarah oilfield located on the west bank of the Tigris river.
According to Arabic-language al-Sumaria news website reports, the airstrikes completely destroyed the convoy and caused a huge fire, whose thick and black smoke darkened the sky.
At least eight terrorists were killed in the attack and eight others sustained injuries.
HIS Janes Conflict Monitor reports indicate that Daesh heavily rely on revenues from oil trade accounting up-to 43 percent of the militant’s group total revenues.
Others sources of Daesh revenues comes from illegal taxation, drug smuggling, confiscation of businesses and property, ransom and sale of electricity.
