Two convicted al-Qaeda members were sentenced to death on Monday from their involvement in terrorist attack.
One of the two men was convicted earlier for carrying out a car bomb attack in 2011 that led to the death of 34 civilians, according to Abdul Sattar Bayrakdar, a spokesman for Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council
The second man was guilty of several terrorist attacks.
The al-Qaeda had an active presence in Iraq from 2005 to 2015
