British Military delegation arrived in Mogadishu, Somalia to hold vital counter-terrorism talks with Somali Defense Ministry following last year’s British pledge for troops to aid the war against al Shabaab.
The delegation is headed by Lieutenant General John Lorimer held a series of closed door talks with Andikadir Ali Diini who is Somali’s Defense minister. The meet was mainly headlined by security cooperation between the UK and Somalia and strengthening of mutual ties especially trade between the countries.
Integration of regional militia forces into the Somali National Army to aid in the fight against al Shabaab were top on the agenda with British’ s echoed supports towards the annihilation of the Harakat al Shabaab al Mujahideen from the Horn of African country.
