
IGP Kayihura while unveiling a team of security experts from Nigeria said Ugandan populous should be proud of their police force for proving security despite being fewer in numbers as compared to other countries.
The police boss scoffed at those criticizing police including government agencies, human right bodies’ religious and cultural leaders and instead called on their support to build a formidable police force.
IGP Kayihura received a delegation of senior police officers from Algeria, who are in Uganda to finalize plans of training the Uganda Police Force officers on managing transnational crimes.
General Kayihura noted Algeria’s expertise on handling terrorism as well as organized, cyber, and cross-border crimes saying Uganda police will benefit and learn a lot.
