Indian Navy INS Tarkash is expected to dock at Djibouti from Yemen with close to 4000 Indians rescued from the war in Yemen.

The first group of people, 74 in number, from Al Hedeidah will be will arrive in the Indian Navy’s INS Tarkash and the remaining batch will arrive at Djibouti from Al Hodeidah in the INS Sumitra.
Although Air India has risked rescuing some of the Indians in Yemen through air, the plane is expected to take off from Sanaa today.
Saudi Arabia has launched several airstrikes on the Houthi rebels being supported by the Iranians since March 2014.
India has been asked by 26 nations – including the United States – to help get their citizens out of the conflict zone.
This comes at a time when the U.S. government has officially requested its nationals to vacate the area through sea as their planes were not able to land in Yemen to save them.
