Two Al-Shabaab militants and bomb experts were killed after an improvised explosive device (IED), they were setting up detonated prematurely in west of Mogadishu, Somalia.
Charred bodies of the two terror operatives were found at a house in Barire town about 60km west of Somalia capital, Mogadishu. Bariire is an agricultural-rich locality and Al-Shabaab have a lot of interests due its economic gains to the terror outfit.
Last month, SNA backed by African Union troops seized Barire town from Al-Shabaab after a brief gunfight. The town was serving as a strategic transit point for Al-Shabaab fighters who frequently crossed over from southern regions.
The Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Shabaab, usually plant IEDs on commonly used routes by SNA and allied forces.
