Al-Shabaab militants were reported to have executed a youthful man in the outskirts of Baidoa locality early this week.
The 23 year old man identified as Bashiir Ahmed was killed at at Labatan-Jirow location near Baidoa as confirmed and reported by Somali local media.
Al Shabaab militants accused Ahmed of apostasy and ideology differences.
The Al Qaeda extremists’ branch in Somalia is known to conduct executions publicly for individuals and even Muslim clerics who try to oppose their radical teachings.
The militants have also arrested over 50 of it members believed to have joined ISIS and executed a pro-ISIS commander to send a message of warning to the group’s loyalist with intention of shifting allegiance to self-proclaimed ‘caliph’ leader of the Islamic State Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
