Russian has confirmed that six of its Tupolev warplanes carried out bombardments around ISIS capital, Raqqa killing dozens terrorists.
The air raids also destroyed a chemical weapons factory in the city’s northwestern outskirts.
The operation conducted Thursday 11th August 2016 saw Tupolev warplanes bombard Islamic State bastion in northern Syria killing over 30 ISIS jihadists according to a monitoring group.
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 10 raids hit the Raqqa city and its outskirts, wounding at least 70 other militants.
Syrian Defense Ministry said the raids also destroyed a weapons storage facility and a training camp for ISIS fighters to the north and southeast.
ISIS extremists have suffered a “significant material damages” in the strikes and that “a large number of fighters have been killed” the ministry said in a statement.
