Kenyans will soon be receiving proper and better treatment at the police posts following government’s plan to face-lift the department.
The upgrading of the police station and the systems being used will see to it that all Police operations are controlled from Jogoo House, which will act as the command center.
The new revamped system will ensure that all National Police Service records are digitized, a system which will ensure that all records are connected to the command center.
Improved Communication between Kenya Police and Citizens
The digitized system will replace police blotters which have been used to record events at police stations. The digital equivalent of the police blotter will ensure that records of crimes and arrests by the police are communicated to the public in real-time.
This system will benefit Kenyans as there will be faster response to issues and concerns raised, as compared to the services they have been receiving.
New Police System to Reduce Crime Rate in Kenya
Communication between citizens and the police will be more efficient with the availability of an Integrated Command. Control and Communications Centre under the care of well-trained police.
The system will further see to it that citizens will be able to share information with the police through E-tipsters, an anonymous way of communicating crime to the police without fear of victimization.
There will be high definition surveillance cameras with the ability to take images even in low light. There are trained police who will be manning these systems all the time.
The new system will also allow police to thwart thugs and criminals in the social place using a special online tracking system. Tracking these information and fast responding to them will minimize crime rate in Kenya.
