German police have attested three Syrian nationals in the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein over links with the Islamic State (ISIS).
According to German prosecutors, the three were sent by the militant group, Islamic State in Germany either to carry out a mission that they had been informed about or to wait for further instructions.
The three aged between 17 and 26 years old landed in Germany sometimes in November of 2015 according to the prosecutors.
"Concrete missions or orders have not so far been found in the course of investigations carried out so far," said federal prosecutors in a statement.
Germany lately is being faced by sporadic terror challenges citing over a million migrants who arrived in the county in 2015.
Since then, there have been increased violent attacks being reported, three of the attacks reportedly were carried out by asylum seekers later known to be motivated by Islamic State.
