A car fitted with explosives blew up a security checkpoint in the outskirts of Somali capital Mogadishu.
The Monday evening car bomb left at least four SNA soldiers injured.
According to SNA sources, the car bomb went off as it was being search at the checkpoint.
The bomber died on the spot with four injured soldiers being rushed to a Mogadishu hospital for treatment.
No group has claimed credit for the bomb attack but Al-Shabaab terrorists have severally carried similar attacks targeting on police and military forces.
