Former police spokesman and head of security services at the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) Eric Kiraithe has been named the National Government spokesman.
In 2013, Kiraithe was appointed the Chief of Security at the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA).
The new spokesman is expected to work under the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination.
“The Office of the National Government spokesperson will function from the State Department of Interior and Coordination of National Government while the Office of the State House Spokesperson headed by Mr Manoah Esipisu will remain will remain within the Executive Office of the President,” the statement sent to the newsrooms read.
Mr. Kiraithe will assume his new role immediately.
