Kenya security agencies are hunting down five Al-Shabaab operatives have been abductees of the Somali based terrorist group.
Credible intelligence report warns that the five terror operatives broke out with Al-Shabaab top leadership after they were found to be in frequent communication with top Al-Shabaab fugitive, Ahmed Iman Ali.
Report gathered from the sources reveal that the five managed to escape from the terrorists’ cells in Somalia. The five were due to be publicly executed by the militant group following the communication with once groups’ top commander Iman Ali, now turned foe.
The five operatives are said to have sneaked into the country to seek refuge from the Al-Qaeda affiliated terror group led by Sheikh Ahmed Umar Abu Ubaidah aka Ahmed Diriye; Al-Shabaab’s indifferent Takfiri Emir.
Ali, who was a vocal Al-Shabaab propagandist, fell out with the leadership of the terror group in mid last year and now the terror group is baying for his blood.
This was after several Kenyans were executed allegedly for over spying and leaking information to Iman Ali and the Kenyan government security agencies.
Iman Ali was against the executions as it targeted mostly Kenyan fighters, most of which he was responsible for their recruitment.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that Ali is seeking asylum from the government amid several attempts by Al-Shabaab to kill him
Notable animosity and hatred has been rife within Al-Shabaab with intelligence reports indicating that Kenyans in the group are the most affected.
Those fighters killed in the last one year include former Moi University student Jared Mokaya Omambia, Faraj Abdulmajid, Ahmed Yusuf Hassan, Ahmed Nur Abdi Osoble, Abdullah Talal Musa, Hashim Othman Selali among many others.
The mistrust between the native Al-Shabaab Somali fighters and other foreign fighters has also seen the eruption of several splinter factions emerging from the group.
