Six people have been arrested by the FBI agents in Minnesota and also in California linking them with terrorism activities according to media report on Monday.
Large number of the arrested individuals were Minneapolis with sizable Somali population, there are no much details that have been released from the ongoing investigations or even possible criminal charges. FBI spokesman in San Diego confirmed there was a news conference scheduled for Monday in relation with Minnesota but did not confirm on the six arrested.
Early February, a man from Minnesota was arrested and charged of conspiring and supporting the Islamic State and also lying to the Federal Agents carrying out investigations on recruitment carried out by the militant group.
A large number of people from Minneapolis which is populated with Somali-American youths have traveled or at least attempted to travel abroad to offer their support to the militant groups such as the Al Shabaab and Islamic State (ISIS) since 2007, this is according to prosecutors in the U.S.
