Brazil aircraft maker, Embraer confirmed selling A-29 Super Tucano light attack aircraft to three African air forces at a deal valued at $180 million.
Angola, Burkina Faso and Mauritania bought the turboprop-powered A-29 Super Tucano light attack aircraft from the Brazillian company on a contractual basis.
Three aircraft already have been delivered to Burkino Faso; six are destined for Angola, including three planned for delivery later this year, Embraer announced.
The contractual sale includes extensive logistical, training and spare parts supply since the aircrafts will be used for border patrol or counterinsurgency tasks.
