The Egyptian security forces managed to free a policeman who was kidnapped by terrorists during recent deadly clashes in southern Cairo.
According to Egyptian military sources, security apparatuses managed to free officer Mohamed al-Hayes of Giza Security Department who was kidnapped by the terrorist elements involved in the latest Al-Wahat terrorist attack.
The police officer was abdicted in a confrontation with the terror operatives in a desert area on the outskirts of Giza, south of the capital Cairo that left a number policemen killed and 13 wounded. The clashes also left 15 militants either killed and scores injured.
Also on Tuesday, the Egyptian air forces killed 27 militants and destroyed three vehicles loaded with weapons, explosives and ammunition at a mountainous area western Fayoum province south of the capital Cairo, according to a military statement.
Last week Friday, the security forces announced the killing of 12 “very dangerous terrorist elements” in the western desert region of Al-Wahat and sadly, a number of security officers lost their lives.
