When they attack, terrorists say that they are doing so in the name of Allah, yet Muslim scholars have clarified that the Islam religion does not support such acts of terrorism.
According to Egyptian Muslim scholar, Dr Nabil Zaki, has said that Islam should not be misinterpretated to be associated with such barbaric activities of terrorists, killing innocent people and destroying property.
People who kill on claim that they are doing the will of Allah should be treated as barbaric terrorists when apprehended. They are actually people hungry to loot property and destabilize such nations in the African region which have proved their economic might globally.
Muslim scholar, Dr Zaki, who is also spokesperson of Egypt’s Al-Tagammu Party, has urged Africa’s Muslim population to shun terrorists and publicly denounce individuals who deviate from the true ideologies of Islam.
Intelligence reports reveal that African countries that are targeted by terrorists in the name of defending Islam are countries that have proved their wealth in natural resources and this is what the terrorists want to control. East African countries have a lot of minerals and West Africa also has a lot of gold, diamond, cobalt and oil. Terrorists are aiming at stealing all these resources from Africa.
And what the Somali based Harakat Al-Shabaab Al-Mujahedeen really want in Kenya is to control her strong economy and to take full charge of the tourist destinations in the whole of Africa. With a tight grip on security, the Kenyan government has however sworn that the insurgents will have no room for this.
