Dozens militants have reported to have been killed in the latest US drone strike conducted in East of Afghanistan.
According to the military sources and cited by various open sources, the drone hell fire targeted militants’ position in eastern Nangarhar, believed they were planning an attack.
The first raid killed 22 militants and wounded several others. In the second raid, the airstrike was carried out in the vicinity of Khogyani district targeting a vehicle carrying the anti-government armed militants.
According to the 201st Silab Corps officials, the vehicle carrying armed militants was shelled in the vicinity of Dandu Nokar Khel area, leaving three militants dead and the vehicle totally destroyed
Humiliated anti-government armed militant groups including the Taliban and ISIS insurgents have not commented regarding the report so far.
