Military intelligence report indicate that the Middle East based ISIL has set a training camp in the semi-autonomous state of Puntland, Somalia.
In a published video publish by Daesh recently announces the installation of a training camp named Commandant Cheikh Abou Nouman.
The camp is named after an ex-Al Shabaab commander who was assassinated by Al-Shabaab after his defection to Daesh/ISIS/ISIL.
Daesh wish to expand foothold in Somalia has not been received well by the Al Qaeda branch in Somalia.
Al-Shabaab Amniyaat (intelligence and military wing) has not welcomed the new entrant citing rivalry and divisions among their followers/fighters.
Pro-ISIL faction has faced stiff resistance with Al-Shabaab hunting down the defectors and assassinating them.

The rivalry between Al-Shabaab and pro-ISIL has seen some jihadists surrender to the authorities fearing Shebab assassinations.
A new ISIL terrorist unit dedicated for East Africa has since been created.
Jahba East Africa is affiliated to ISIL/ISIS and has been calling on Al-Shabaab affiliated groups in East Africa such as Al-Muhajiroun, Al-Hijra and Ansar Islam to leave their parent terror group Al Qaeda to and pledge bayah to Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the Islamic State self-proclaimed caliph.

Similarly the newly created Jahba East Africa will suffer the same humiliation in the hands of SNA and AMISOM forces.
