Chief of Defense Forces, General Samson Mwathethe Vows to Kick out Terrorists

The 14th and 15th confrontation between the Kenya Defense Forces and Al Shabaab militants in Lamu has left at least 17 terrorists dead as the pursuit against the terrorists continues.

Kenya security forces are still on the hunt of remaining elements of the terror group whose plans to carry out massive killings at the Kenyan coast were thwarted owing to Kenya security forces working on intelligence.

After suffering many casualties and losing almost all the territory they controlled in Somalia, Al Shabaab militants have resorted to launching attacks on soft targets within Kenya. Intelligence sources have foreseen a possibility of more attacks on soft targets in Kenya within the holy month of Ramadhan.

The Kenya security forces have however affirmed their commitment to wipe out all Al Shabaab elements within Kenya’s borders.

According to General Samson Mwathethe, Al Shabaab militants choose soft targets instead of fighting on the war front, because they have lost the war.

General  Samson Mwathethe has promised that the Kenya Defense Forces will follow terrorists into the bush and everywhere they go until they are out of Kenya’s borders.
